Monday, 14 December 2009 13:46

All SABR members are invited to present their research findings to their colleagues attending SABR40 in Atlanta. Oral presentations are expected to last 20 minutes, followed by a five minute question-and-answer period. Posters will be presented, with the author on-hand to discuss the work, during a poster session of 90 or so minutes, and will probably remain on display throughout the convention. Abstracts covering all aspects of baseball research are welcomed.

There are three new presentations this week, and one prior presentation is newly complete. New this week:

One of the presentations from two week's ago, Vince Gennaro's "How Does the Quality of a Team’s Defense Impact Pitching Usage?", was missing the first few minutes of the audio. Vince has kindly re-recorded that segment, and the new version is now on the page.

Quick Facts

SABR 40 will be the first convention SABR has held in Atlanta - in fact no past convention has been within 400 miles (Louisville in 1997 was the closest).

This makes Atlanta one of only four current MLB markets never to host a SABR convention - but not for long!
