SABR members can now vote for their most important of baseball milestones featuring Washington’s major-league franchises and the many Negro League and minor league teams to have played in the region of the Bob Davids Chapter, which takes in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and parts of Pennsylvania. You’ll notice that we’ve got 39 candidates: 38 choices suggested by Bob Davids Chapter members, with the 39th a write-in possibility for you (there are no numbers, but trust us – we counted and recounted, shades of Bush vs. Gore!). Your votes and those of other SABR members will be tallied – but you must vote by the 11:59 p.m. ET June 29 – which, coincidentally, happens to be the last day you can obtain the SABR discount at the J.W.
